2019 Legislative Recap

A Different Perspective On Housing

The type and location of housing stock have land use, economic, equity, and social justice ramifications for all Georgians and impacts the quality of our natural resources statewide.

 

Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Trust Fund

On November 6, Georgia voters overwhelmingly passed the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Amendment, establishing the state’s first constitutionally-dedicated fund for conservation.

Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park

In February, Congress passed legislation to expand the boundary of the Ocmulgee National Monument - five years of concerted effort, over four separate Congresses.

Economic Benefits of Georgia’s Outdoor Industry

Outdoor recreation is an important economic driver for the state of Georgia and the demand for parks, trails, and outdoor recreation opportunities are likely to increase.
